At our specialist homes for adolescent sex offenders our primary aim to provide care and dedicated treatment programmes for young males who exhibit sexually abusive/exploitative behaviour. young people placed in these specialist environments will either have been convicted of sexual offences or are considered likely to perpetrate sexual abuse on others.

Our homes provide an environment where young people can address their behaviour, resume control of their lives and reintegrate into community living. It is essential that the homes provide a safe and therapeutic environment where inappropriate behaviour is constantly challenged using a variety of models and techniques.

The treatment programme is implemented through regular workshops, which include confronting abusive behaviour, accepting personal responsibility, developing victim empathy, addressing distorted thinking and working towards the young people acknowledging and understanding their own cycle of offending. In addition a clear programme of appropriate sexual health and relationship education is an integral part of the daily educational timetable.

We aim to positively reward appropriate behaviour and encourage young people to work within age appropriate boundaries, develop their negotiation skills and awareness of consequences. The specialist therapeutic assessment and treatment is directed by R.W.A (UK) in close association with the highly trained staff team who receive training and ongoing supervision from our highly respected partners.

Our schools allow the young people to continue in education in a safe environment whilst their treatment and assessment is undertaken. An ongoing assessment of risk is maintained throughout the placement so that the placing authority is fully aware of the level of risk that the young person presents to the community and themselves.
