Drake House Independent School / Residential Home
3 Young People, Aged 10-17 on admittance – Birmingham

Drake House is a home set in the Birmingham area whose function is to provide residential education and care for young people with complex and challenging needs.  The specialist staff team work closely with the young people to ensure that they can take control and responsibility for their own behaviour and its ongoing effects on their life choices.  A 24 hour education and social care curriculum delivers positive outcomes based on the Every Child Matters concept and ensures a managed return to mainstream education wherever possible.

Young people placed at Drake House have an opportunity to gain a wide range of nationally accredited qualifications, such as GCSE and the Asdan Award Schemes.  Our highly qualified teaching and learning support staff are tasked to ensure that every child meets the full of their academic potential.  The home also offers a broad range of leisure activities that offer stimulation and the opportunity to interact regularly within the local community.

If you have an enquiry or are interested in placing a young person at Drake House, or at any of CastleCare’s homes across England and Wales then please contact our Referrals Department who will be happy to advise and guide you through the simple referral process.
