Education (contd.)
Enrichment
Our young people have the opportunity to enrich their education experience through cultural visits and curriculum based field trips. Such experiences are a vital part of the inclusion process and will better prepare them for the challenges of the outside world.
Celebrating educational success
We celebrate the success of our young people’s progress regularly. Achievement days are held termly and parents, local authority representatives and guests from the community are often invited to share in our young people’s experience of success.
Community links
Alongside our connections with mainstream schools and colleges, our schools link closely with community organisations. We have established links with a variety of associations including the Connexions service; Trident; leisure and outward bound centres; the police; premiership football clubs; as well as numerous faith centres and support groups.
- All our schools are registered and are moving towards ‘Approved’ with the DCSF.
- The broad and balanced curriculum we deliver adheres to National Curriculum requirements.
- Our comprehensive education programme caters for young people who present with social, emotional, behavioural and learning difficulties as well as cognitive disorders such as ADHD and Autistic Spectrum Disorders.
- Accreditation is available to all young people in the form of B Squared and BKSB. This enables teachers to have a baseline to teach from and to ensure the young people are making continual progress.
- As a purchaser of our services, you can be assured of high quality, best value placements. We endeavour to work in partnership with all the relevant agencies to provide positive, measurable outcomes for the young people placed in our schools.
