Individualised Assessment and Planning
All young people referred to us will receive an immediate full ‘on-line’ assessment of their academic abilities. This assessment will identify their core skills abilities, I.C.T. skills, their preferred learning styles and give an indication of their previous experience of education. This assessment informs the basis of a highly specific individualized teaching programme that will meet the educational needs of each young person referred to us.
Learning within the 24 hour Curriculum
The CastleCare teams work closely together to facilitate a 24-hour educational experience. This often takes the form of acquiring vital social skills that will equip our young people to thrive within a mainstream community. Such skills acquired are often accredited and become part of an ongoing record of achievement.
Achievement Days - Celebrating Success
At CastleCare we celebrate the success of our young people’s progress regularly. Achievement days are held termly and are often attended by parents, local authority representatives and other invited guests from the community to share with our young people’s experience of success.
