Our Ethos of Care
At CastleCare we are dedicated to providing a high quality of care to children and young people who, due to the circumstances of their young lives, require residential accommodation and the support of a trained staff team to address the issues that make them vulnerable.
Our approach to childcare is always nurturing and centres around healthy emotional and social development. It is founded on relationship building and mutual respect and we work to the principles of good parenting by delivering care that values children’s rights, individual identity, responsibilities and cultural diversity.
This caring approach means that within each home we create individually tailored care packages designed to assess and meet the needs of the child.
Every young person is allocated a qualified support worker and receives quality time with exemplary adult role models to help them reflect on their progress and grow as individuals.
When we establish any home the benchmark question we use for designing the environment is: ‘Would we accept that in our own homes?’
With that in mind, our homes offer high quality living space. We actively encourage our young people to take ownership by personalising their rooms and having a creative input into the fabric of the building.
Safeguarding
We ensure all aspects of our service are geared towards safeguarding the welfare of the young people within our care.
All policies and procedures are in line with Every Child Matters recommendations and are under constant audit to ensure our young people are as safe as possible at all times.
Our safeguarding procedures are further detailed in our Standard Operating Procedures which can be viewed online at www.proceduresonline.com/castlecare
